bitbiome Achieves Major Milestone with Joint Research Partner
December 9th, 2025- Tokyo, Japan- bitBiome, a pioneering force in the field of discovery, design and engineering of novel enzymes, strains, and ingredients, has announced the successful delivery of a significant technical milestone set within the contract period in a joint development project with a Research Partner.
In this project, bitBiome utilized their proprietary microbial genome database “bit-GEM” and their bio-manufacturing development platform “bit-QED” to explore candidate enzymes, optimize reaction conditions, and construct manufacturing processes at pilot scale. The results met all milestone requirements.
The process has been transferred for final validation with the Research Partner, with plans to consider further optimization of the technology and scale-up as needed. The Research Partner was quoted, “In response to our company’s request, we proceeded from research to prototype evaluation in a short period of time with complete success. I have high expectations for the future development of our processes”.
